Lucifer built the Order in 1414 to maintain Satan's seal through the Church's institutional structure. He told the other Princes the Order was Hell's greatest weapon against the mortal practitioners. It was the seal's maintenance structure dressed as a weapon so the Princes would protect it.\n\nThe seven founding brothers took the oath believing they were serving Hell's institutional interests. They were maintaining the geological suppression of the Leviathan above Satan's sealed position and the institutional architecture of the Church's fear-substrate simultaneously.\n\nThe Order's collapse was designed into its founding logic. Six hundred years was always the estimate. When the New Compact was ratified in WMB6 and the fear-substrate began failing, Lucifer already knew what OS5 would require. He had been preparing for it since 1414.

Satan sealed into the Catholic Church's institutional structure. Not imprisoned — sealed. The Church is the seal's housing because the Church's institutional architecture of guilt and compliance is the closest mortal-layer equivalent to Satan's specific wrath-substrate. The Church dissolves as an institution in the ritual's aftermath. The seal holds where the Church was.
Lucifer gives the ultimate sacrifice. Lucifer — once known as CAIN — swallows his pride and admits two wrongs: killing his brother ABEL at Babel, and locking SATAN away instead of trying to help him. (Abel and Satan are different beings: Cain murdered Abel; Lucifer later jailed Satan.) His reconciliation with himself heals his own soul frequency, and he STILL chooses to save the universe, becoming the binding agent of the new seal. His sacrifice returns his soul to the 0 state AND heals Satan's soul completely, returning it to 0 as well. The corrupted brother and the brother who wronged him both restored — the Hell-scale echo of Sano and Nepisano. This Merkaba formation is the Order of the Shadows Arc's Restoration event.
